Junk Motor – Tom Hayashi – HopperMag

Got turned on to HopperMag through Zac over at Heavy. From there – I found this great article about Tom Hayashi and Junk Motor in Japan. This dude is a cool, calm collector of fine HD artifacts. He quietly pedals his stuff over the internet and hangs out in a tiny little bedroom of a shop. Seriously, this dudes spread looks like a super secret clubhouse. Anyway, there’s a really cool video worth checking out. I talked to the guys at HopperMag to see if they’d open up the Vimeo for sharing but for sake of article continuity, you gotta go check ’em out to get the whole story. The Hopper Mag gang is doing some really cool treasure hunting. They’re actually getting off there asses and going out to capture the scene first hand. Expect big things from them.

Vern’s Triumph Speed Triple

My neighbor Vern’s got this really great Triumph Speed Triple. I’ve always been a sucker for those single sided swing arms and that straight out of the showroom street fighter look. Gotta admit, Triumph motorcycles have got style. Since year one, these bikes have definied cool in so many ways. Snapped this photo out at the bike shop a month back. Just found it in my phone and thought it would make a nice addition to the chopper blog. Dig it.

Video Thursday – out of office reply

Speed Club is out of the office today. We’re on a mission to a super secret underground Harley parts lair for a little project shopping. A shovel head motor is an awfully nice “spare part” to have hangin’ around. Here’s an interesting video I came across the other day. It’s one of a series of 3 or 4. Check it out. Good lookin bikes. See you’s guys tomorrow.
