Man, it’s not even winter and it looks like lots of folks are already attacking the motor work with the intensity of a thousand suns. I started my shovel rebuild a couple days ago. The jugs are .060 over making my 74″ motor roughly an 80″ motor when complete. Flywheel assembly turned out to be a pile of sh*t but that was all sorted out with Gators help. The bottom end should be done in about a week (The heads are another story.)

Spencer’s Triumph is already under way. Damn – I’m rooting for that guy. He’s got some serious heart. All said and done, he’ll be the triumph man by the time he comes out the other side.

Everyone get ready for that long, hard winter. Swap meets here I come.

Been holding out for a warmer day so I could sneak out to the garage and knock out my popes hat sissy bar. Finally decided not to let the Minnesota weather get between me and my welding. Put the kid down for a nap and got to it. Just needs a little touch up with the grinder and the Yammy is out of here. If you’re looking for an XS650 chopper that runs like a rapped date – hit me up. Midwest Shops & Garages

Midwest Shops & Garages Series. A new little feature we’re rolling out this winter. The idea is real simple. If you’re from the Midwest (or anywhere cold for that matter) you know that when the snow falls, the cycles, projects, shops, garages and hide outs are the place to be. We’re gonna visit some friends, check out their digs, and see what projects are in the mix.

No where to go and nothing to do but tear it down and put it back together. The first garage in the series will be coming up soon so be sure to check back.
