Blue Skies for CHOPOUT?

Dreaming of blue skies and sunshine all the way. Weather is looking touchy this weekend though. If we get rained out, CHOPOUT will be postponed (in case anyone was wondering). I’m just not gonna make my last overnight end-of-season ride be a cold, wet, miserable, pisser. Either way – Breakfast at Mannings is still on. Be there any time. Ready to leave by 10:30.

Zac Doom and Diamond Dave

Zac (Heavy-Clothing.com) and Dave stopped by the over the weekend to check out a shovelhead motor. Sounds like Dave has a project in mind. Hung out in the garage for a while talking about all kinds of random shit. These guys are good people. Been all around and are really doing something all their own. Check out the Zac’s site, support HEAVY and the boys. Here’s a shot I snagged for the chopper blog just before they headed out.

Back to the 50’s – Minnesota

Speed Club’s first love will always be cycles but when you’re given the gift of Back to the 50’s each year, how can you not take a moment to give the weekend it’s due respect and appreciation. Here are a few pics I snapped between hitting the swap and strolling through the car show. …enjoy.

Big Wheeler Trip Weekend – coming up

About two to three times a season, me and a few others head up to good old Hayward WI for miles and miles of trails on the ATV’s. This year I’ve got Blue which is a much nicer ride than my last years whip. I’m planning on putting on some miles as long as the weather is good. Last season ended with me standing in a crapper stall barefoot as I rung out my socks over a toilet. Weather was about as cold as it could be and I think it was even snowing in some areas. We’ll probably hit upĀ  the LCO and even drop by the Hayward Ballet (Phipps Tavern) for a little light evening entertainment. Pics to come.

Twin Cities Swap Meet Aftermath!

So Speed Club Inc attended last weekends Gringo & Mickey’s Moto Psycho Swap Meet. From an enthusiasts standpoint, the event was a little short on vendors in comparison to the last years. I think it might have been because of Donnie Smith’s Bike show and Swap coming up in 2 weeks. In any event, we did pick up some really sweet junk for a couple projects and I managed to snap some photos for the chopper blog.

I found a great 45″ motor crammed into a milk crate. The guy wanted $1200 beans so I decided to pass. I also bumped into the Heavy-Clothing.com guys with a booth made out of Heavy t-shirts, twisted bars and shovelhead motors.
