Here’s a quick video I pieced together from a huge folder of shots I grabbed today at the Mods vs Rockers Ride in Minneapolis yesterday (June 5th – 2010). Lots of great stuff. Had a great time even though it rained like mad for almost the entire day. Soaked to the bone but had a chance to catch up with some old friends and make some new ones. Great bikes and scooters. Special thanks to BlueCat Motors for organizing the event. Met up at Grumpys. Pounded a couple Guinness and headed through the campus and down University Ave to the BC Motors lot for more bike and pretty ladies. Dig it. Check out our chopper blog for all sorts of midwest moto psycho culture, pics, video and parts. Extra thanks on the music provided by none other than the late great Doo Rag – “Bullhorn”
Great weather. The sun is shinning and my grass is green. Time to roll out Eric’s XS bar hopper for some pics. Bike is coming along steady. Rear wheel is finally spaced out along with caliper. Tank is on and we’re just ironing out his ignition and the pesky xs650 charging system. Coming up is his custom brake line, rear fender, and taillight. From there, he’s on his way.
Roadside somewhere between Lake Superior and Finland to stretch our legs, snap photos and take a leak. Pictures just don’t seem to capture it. You’re miles from nowhere with days to go. Glancing over your shoulder at the old miner towns. The dance hall windows have all been broken and the only sign of life is the glowing neon “Schmidt’s” hanging from a lamp post. Another sleepy town swallowed up by time.
