Vern’s Triumph Speed Triple

My neighbor Vern’s got this really great Triumph Speed Triple. I’ve always been a sucker for those single sided swing arms and that straight out of the showroom street fighter look. Gotta admit, Triumph motorcycles have got style. Since year one, these bikes have definied cool in so many ways. Snapped this photo out at the bike shop a month back. Just found it in my phone and thought it would make a nice addition to the chopper blog. Dig it.

MagnetoZoo

I was doing laps across the internet yesterday researching magnetos and thinking up strange ideas for converting a triumph magneto to work on something very different. In my search I came across this really great site “MagnetoZoo.” The guy running the cycle blog has lots of really great pics and parts t feast the eyes on. Dig it. Very good stuff – Speed Club Approved.

Two Things That I Love

Two things I love… Bikes and Cars! There’s a guy down my street with a 1950 Chevy coupe. It’s one of those un-restored gem kinda cars. Granted, it sits outside all winter while the tires slowly deflate but come summer, the kid always manages to fire the beast back up for the typical Friday night cruise past Porky’s on University Ave. Anyways, this pic kinda reminds me of the neighbors whip.

I  wouldn’t kick it out of the garage or anything but chrome Triumph’s are a clean freaks nightmare!

Wes at Four Aces Cycle – disappearing on the flats

You gotta dig this stuff. Wes at Four Aces Cycle is a regular at the Bonneville salt flats. I visit their site and triumph blog a lot looking at all the great triumph stuff they’re screwing around with. I say screwing around but actually these guys a quite serious about speed and enginering. Tons of great knowledge, parts, video, shirts, and speed coming out of Four Aces Cycle. Check them out, buy a shirt, support the need for speed. Speed Club approved.
