You gotta dig this stuff. Wes at Four Aces Cycle is a regular at the Bonneville salt flats. I visit their site and triumph blog a lot looking at all the great triumph stuff they’re screwing around with. I say screwing around but actually these guys a quite serious about speed and enginering. Tons of great knowledge, parts, video, shirts, and speed coming out of Four Aces Cycle. Check them out, buy a shirt, support the need for speed. Speed Club approved.
THIS JUST IN! – The Bearded Lady Motorcycle Freak Show will be July 24th at the corner of University and 13th Ave – Minneapolis. This is the 4th year for the Lady. Last years party was one of the best twin cities motorcycle gatherings of the summer. I admit I had a few drinks but I swear I saw Prince ride in on a giant purple lawnmower!? I did see HEAVY there as well as the guys from Blue Cat Motors and even some dudes from out in Monticello (Jordan/Pugs/Daran). Seriously, it’s one of the most eclectic collections of motorcycle mayhem found anywhere in the nation, let alone the Midwest! Tons of great bikes, foxy ladies, music, and most importantly… motorcycles. I’m just gonna come out and say it. If you don’t attend this event… you suck *ss. There is absolutely no excuse for missing out. Speed Club expects to see you all there.
Swung by Minneapolis yesterday to visit Eric and to take a look at his XS650 bar hopper. It’s definitely a build in progress and it looks like we’re going to be taking it in at the Speed Club Garage for the next few weeks. There are all sorts of odds and ends to button up but in the end we’ll be looking at one slick little bobber. He’s already set up his 100% CUSTOM FABRICATED hardtail frame including an FX front end w/ 21″ whitewalls and Harley 16″ spoke rear wheel w/ hydro banana caliper. I dont know the neck rake but the thing looks fast just sitting on the kick stand. Not many pics yet but we’ll definitely get some posted as the project progresses. Maybe we’ll snag a little video too? Check back often for more from the Speed Club Garage on the chopper blog.
We’ve received word on a few motorcycle events coming up this summer here in the twin cities. Speed Club is excited to announce that we are working on being a sponsor at a few of them! We’re also hard at work trying to get products in and onto the site as well as having some cheap T-Shirts made up. Here’s a few pics of stretch with his harley drag bike out at lions raceway from way back when. This thing has it all. Great lines, nothing to hold on to and a face only a mother could love! These pics are great too. Lots of detail including the rad custom tank, school bell air filter cover, finned case, and that springer front end! Love those bobber style race bikes! Speed club approved!
