ON my way to Indiana for some big bike show/swap meet. Hoping to swoop in and find some goodies to bring back. This bummer weather had me diggin’ through some shots of this past summer. Here’s one of my boy Sonny on New Kevins Dream Machine. This shot looks a little like some kind of chopper cult commune with a handful of little kiddos running around, kickin up dirt. Summer… come back soon… I miss you already.

Sweating it out on a hot summer day in the track leathers. It’s been real hot around here for the past week. Too hot to do much at all. In fact, I’ve been on the horn for a few days knocking out CHOPOUT plans. Everything’s finally coming together for our little inpromptu northern excursion. I’ve been looking at those new Royal Enfield bikes recently. They are really cut right out of the past in a lot of ways. I dug this shot out of my lions raceway archive and it reminded me that they just don’t make em like they used to. There’s another shot of this bike and rider/mechanic in our header. Some serious hours and engineering in this beast. Note the Bonneville National sticker on the tank corner. I’d love to know what kind of speeds this guy has squeezed out of this thing.
