Imagine nearly 700 people crowded onto the sidewalks of about 4 square blocks. Yup, and we got a “shload” (shit+load) of pics to prove it. There were so many people and bikes out that the cops were intentionally perched at all corners popping people left and right for damn near anything. I’m sure the fuzz made their monthly quota that night. Tons of near stock Harleys and more rice rockets than you could shake a stick at; I still found a few nuggets worth the photo op. Here are some pics.
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club is coming to Minneapolis this Saturday the 27th. I really liked BRMC durring their first albums rein but their second, “Howl… ” sounded like ass. and I mean it. The now back to their senses producing great stuff. Hopefully they will grace us with some of the old-old goodies. Speed Club has tickets and will be out if full force. You wont see us but we’ll be watching you. Get your tickets, and bring your motorcicle. If its not too cold for your old balls.
The Speed Club gang met up last night for pints and brain storming. We hit up te Red Stag and Britts for pints. Everything in the RS is tinted red like an old porn movie and Britts is about as UK pub as you can get in the Midwest. Here’s a pic of Rusty and his Grain Belt.
With the new website and the Midwest riding season fast approaching, we needed to make sure we are covering all the local bases. We’re planning on being sponsors for a few Minneapolis motorcycle events and we’re evenĀ considering arranging a smaller group ride way up north into iron country. We’re working on bringing in products to the website for SAE and Metric bikes and with the seasons biggest swap meet coming up this weekend, I’m personally hoping to have some great stuff to toss up in the classifieds section.
Here in the Midwest we fill our tanks with high grade petrol and fuel stabilizer while our bikes sleep quietly in the corners of our garages and minds. Once the snow melts from the roof top, it’s time for a little spring tuning. Just got my parts for a well needed tune-up. I’m particularly pumped about my new dual carb sync tool.
Todays moto blog post. Imagine running up a 72% incline on a hardtail with a girder front end. Well that’s how my Pappy did it ~ god rest his old soul. Dig this great clip I found on youtube today. Pics are always great but videos are so much sweeter. Special thanks to Akron MC History. Check back often for more form Speed Club Inc.
