Been holding out for a warmer day so I could sneak out to the garage and knock out my popes hat sissy bar. Finally decided not to let the Minnesota weather get between me and my welding. Put the kid down for a nap and got to it. Just needs a little touch up with the grinder and the Yammy is out of here. If you’re looking for an XS650 chopper that runs like a rapped date – hit me up. Here it is… The winning ticket ladies. Yeah – my Born Free 3 Poster arrived today along with the ticket. I’m a letterpress printer by day but I’ve had a lot of experience in screen printing too and I gotta say; These posters are looking pretty sweet. Headed out last night to meet up with RL and knock out some ride plans. Ended up hanging indoors waiting for the sun to go down. Eventually it cooled down and we put on some miles, cruised along the mississippi, down grand, up university (almost lost it around 27th where I fishtailed through some loose gravel), and through northeast. RL has a kick ass camera and grabbed a bunch of shots while we held up a Holiday gas station.

Finally after a few too many weeks in the garage, Brian and Eric (a.k.a. XS Eric, a.k.a. Marvin the Minnow) got together last weekend to officially knock out the final fixes on Erics xs650 bar hopper. This thing is really something. Custom fame, 21″ front end with a beautiful rake, electronic ignition, forward controls, shorty drag pipes, and a good old banana caliper in the rear. This thing screams. More importantly, to celebrate the finished build, we got together on Monday night for a little race around the cities.

Eric’s bike is coming along. Finally got the front wheel spaced out and the throttle/clutch assembly mounted and working. Still need to knock out the forward control linkage and make a new custom hydro brake line for the rear caliper. Fired up the motor today for the first time in maybe two years. Runs pretty strong and loud. Might need to update the exhaust later on for reliability sake.
