Been holding out for a warmer day so I could sneak out to the garage and knock out my popes hat sissy bar. Finally decided not to let the Minnesota weather get between me and my welding. Put the kid down for a nap and got to it. Just needs a little touch up with the grinder and the Yammy is out of here. If you’re looking for an XS650 chopper that runs like a rapped date – hit me up. Last seasons CHOPOUT 2010 unseen footage of Super-Bry in a hardware store parking lot remounting his rear fender. A little smooth talking at the parts counter led to borrowing a few tools free of charge. Some dude eventually strolled up and gave his kid a roadside lesson in good karma. Many thanks to that fella for rolling around on the ground and lending a helping hand to a stranger.
This is some shit. Granted, these guys are gonna wish they never posted it to youtube. 12 months from now some dumb ass kid is gonna get hurt. It will end up in the paper and the cops are gonna be out there tryin to shut everyone down all the time. Whatever – I’m just jealous.
Took a few hours to sneak away from the wife and kid for a Sunday ride with E and Ty. Went up 65 to Fatboys for a beer and air conditioning. Feels like a hundred and ten degrees out there on top of the asphalt. Somewhere along the way I lost my plate but quickly recovered it (and kept it in my pocket) for the duration of the afternoon. Hit up a few more spots out in Little Canada, Roseville and Shoreview. Eventually had to call it for the day. Supposed to be hot all week. Suppose it could be worse (raining).
