Trashed Tire
Misjudged the length of a bolt mounting my rear fender and it finally caught up with me. Gouged a perfectly good tire. Stupid little mistakes = $$$. Serves me right for making the mistake. At least the tire didnt shred while riding.

Started getting inspired by some old school Arlen Ness digger builds from the 70’s and decided to take a crack at a custom tank myself. Here’s where I’m at. Gonna take this thing to Rick for some Tig work. My sloppy ass Mig aint happening. I’m still not sure if this one will take the prize. Have to wait till its a little further along. Maybe I’ll graft a speedo or something into the facing panel??? Could be cool…
Our kickstarter project didnt reach its funding goal. Bummer but fuck it. It’s tough to be bummed when we’re only a couple weeks away from BornFree. We still managed to scrape up enough extra $$ to get our asses there and back with a camera in hand and that’s all it really takes.
So death to formality and on with the show! We got us a new camera and we’re working on all the other loose ends. Stay tuned. Here’s a quick peek at where I’m at on the Love Whip.
Tank and fender made it to the painter. I suck at body work but luckily my painter was cool enough to do me a solid and get my sh*t right before spraying it. Supposed to be ready by tomorrow but we’ll see. If all goes according to plan, the love machine will be on the street Wednesday night. Fingers crossed.
Still in progress this week. It’s been nothing but doom and gloom all day. Took Sonny with me to hang out in the garage but all he wanted to do was sit on the bike. Fact: If your kid shows interest in bikes, encourage it. Sonny rules! by the way: Check out the custom fender I came up with. Drag/Digger/Smith-Fetrow/Crazy Frank Inspired prism fender. My first Speed Club Original. Hand hammered, shaped, and welded by Me and Mine. Taillight is tucked up underneath. Still needs a little love before paint but it’s almost there. More on that shit soon enough.
