You may or may not be aware but I am completely sure that the world will one day be ravaged my a zombie invasion. I spend every extra dollar preparing for the apocalypse and so should you. I keep my short barrel pump action shotgun close at hand (all the time). I keep the banshee tuned and ready to haul. I even keep my camping gear and a survival kit packed in a waterproof bag at all times. I know Im not the only one out there who is ready to move. You dont have to take it seriously, just be prepared.
WHERE TO GO: Great question. In my research I located a hand full of US locations for refuge. Its a commonly known fact that the best environment to evade zombies is a cold one. Tower MN was recently ranked Number 1 in the midwest in “Towns to Seek Refuge during a Zombie Invasion.” I ranked it myself. Visit the sleepy town. Get to know the area. Ive been there dozens of times myself. In the instance of zombie attack, cold climate allows for slow if not frozen zombies. Hold up in your cabin with food, guns, some refer. Make it part of your routine to patrol your area in the winter months and take care of business. The more diligent you are in the winter, the easier your spring/summer will be. NOTE: The Boundary Waters area includes a number of secluded islands just a mile or two from the coast of Vermilion. These locations are ideal as they usually have a suitable rustic (non-electric) cabin available. Yes, zombies can walk across the frozen lake in the winter but from your island, you have a clear vantage point to pick em off well before you are faced with a legitimate attack.

What to do when you’re double booked? Damn, I thought the Minnesota winter was supposed to be relatively dead in the winter but here we are trying to decide if we should drag out the Banshee and Hex for a little ATV ice racing or do we drag a bunch of Speed Club gear and parts out to the Swap Meet? Decisions ~ Decisions.

Speed Club in Hayward. Sounds like you twin cities folk got a little rain? Sorry we missed it. We were up north in Hayward WI with the SC gang for a little trail time on the banshee. That thing never fails to push my limits. RL brought out his new EX for its official “breaking in.” Talk about one dependable machine. Never a moment of problem and hardly 2 gallons of gas in 6 hours! It was a good weekend. We even rolled in a little time at the casino AND a made the ritualistic pilgrimage to the Hayward Ballet.

Went out Sunday to Cattail Trail in Polk County Wisconsin to break in the new Banshee. Had a pretty good time. The trail is 100% flat (railroad bed) without many turns at all. Ultimately not the most exciting of trails but it was great for opening that Banshee up and jamming through the gears. I was definitely pushing 70MPH at one stretch which reassured me that ATV’s = FUN! Dig it – Speed Club

Went out last night with Druncle and picked up this monster; a 2000 Yamaha Banshee. For all my 2 wheeled interest, I’m an ATV man when it comes to spring/summer powersports. In case you’ve been living under a rock, these Banshee’s are KILLERS! With a 350cc twin, water cooled 2-stroke motor, aftermarket aluminum head and FMF pipe, this thing cranks out about 45HP making it the fastest-accelerating two-stroke engine ever produced. Not bad for weighing in at only 386lbs. It’s no chopper or bobber but it is crazy fast, good old-fashioned Minnesota fun !
