Did Somebody Order Whitewalls?

Shit yeah somebody ordered whitewalls! HOWEVER… If there’s one thing I hate, its wrestling around on the ground with a bunch of tire spoons and WD-40 trying to pretend like its worth saving the money to do it myself. Yup… I’m takin ’em over to Blue Cat. These are gonna end up on Rusty’s xs650 chopper. That means his old tires will be up on the forum soon enough. Chopper blog will keep you posted.

Welding an xs650 Hardtail

Dropped off Rusty’s xs650 hardtail over at Druncle Evans last night! Rusty tacked everything together at home and E is gonna roll out the Big Mig to finish everything off. Rusty rode this thing around all summer. Never managed to break a single weld! We’re all very happy to have him with us today. A couple weeks from now, I’m sure we’ll have a few more posts of his bike in final reassembly.

GODSPEED!

Totally amazing chopper culture photography coming from CICERO DEGUZMAN JR. at Godspeed. GODSPEED 45/06 is a quarterly collection of photographs documenting bike builders, their work, and their workspaces. Check it out, buy a copy and while you’re at it, buy me a copy too. I’m a little short this week. Welcome to the Chopper Blog.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club – Minneapolis 3/27

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club is coming to Minneapolis this Saturday the 27th. I really liked BRMC durring their first albums rein but their second, “Howl… ” sounded like ass. and I mean it. The now back to their senses producing great stuff. Hopefully they will grace us with some of the old-old goodies. Speed Club has tickets and will be out if full force. You wont see us but we’ll be watching you. Get your tickets, and bring your motorcicle. If its not too cold for your old balls.

xs650 bobber – A much needed upgrade.

So here it is, my Lepera seat. This things been sitting on my shelf for a year just waiting to see some action. I gt it last year for a steal at $45 beans. Last year I was running one of those cheapo $30 eBay seats. It did the job on the cheap but definitely took its toll. This year I’ve got a couple longer trips planned. Hopefully, this seat will keep my ass comfy for just a few miles more.
