New tire. Random chrome. A bung king order. Sissy bar mounting tabs a nice set of fluted pipe tips. It’s not exactly ready to ride but I’m gettin closer. Swap this weekend and next and I should be set to button this thing up. Shirt orders are on their way. Stickers are in the mail. New shirt design coming shortly too.
Yeah – me neither. Seems like everyone out here is working on at least one project if not two. I just checked the Donnie Smith Show site and that at least give me some kind of deadline. 52 days to get my act together. TO DO: Tonight Im getting up with New Kevin to bend up a sissy bar and finish weld my bars. A new wheel arrives tomorrow (Ive got the tire and tube sitting on a shelf). Im also making some crazy super-pipes and I have to rebuild a set of heads and rockers. After that, I can make some wheel spacers, mount my fender and piece everything together before stripping down for paint and chrome. Okay – so apparently Ive got some work to do.

A lot of work left but a hell of a lot farther along than most. Sissy bar, magneto, pipes, chrome, powder coat and paint should do it.
Found a fella 3 blocks away who was getting rid of a couple snow throwers. This one he had for the last 35 years! 8HP, 26″ auger, First pull – MONSTER blower. Only cost me $30 bucks! I admit, most readers from outside of the northern Midwest probably wont get it but if you ARE from round these parts then you probably understand that $30 is honestly unheard of for ANY snow blower. By Minnesota standards, this thing is GOLD. Took me an entire weekend of smooth talking the guy to finally make the deal. Now if I can just figure out how to throw some lights and a sissy bar on it???

Been holding out for a warmer day so I could sneak out to the garage and knock out my popes hat sissy bar. Finally decided not to let the Minnesota weather get between me and my welding. Put the kid down for a nap and got to it. Just needs a little touch up with the grinder and the Yammy is out of here. If you’re looking for an XS650 chopper that runs like a rapped date – hit me up.
