Quick Trade Opportunity

I have a gen shovel 4spd ratchet top trans. Its in perfect working order. New main shaft seal. Its not gonna work for my project cause the main shaft is too short. The typical cone shovel 4spd ratchet top has a slightly longer shaft needed to help align the belt primary to a cone shovel motor. In an effort to save myself time and money, I’m opting to ask if anyone wants to trade up even my older 4sp for a newer cone 4spd. Again, my 4spd is in good working order. No bad/jumping gears.  I only want to trade for a trans of the same condition. Not interested in cowpies either. Email me at info@speedclubinc.com

Born Free and Back…?

Still whirling on the trip.There was so much to see and do. I tried my best to capture as much amazing shit as possible. I saw great electric giants and found a lost cycle wastelands in the middle of the desert. Never mind the rattle snakes as we watched a one legged man kick start a Bonneville Harley flathead, I was spin kicking the devil into a 20ft dream catcher while some kid from Canada proceeded to melt my mind! Just then I thought I’d survive the flames but instead I was fed two year old chili and accidentally stepped on Speed Ages orange rug. I was a foreigner in this land yet I still managed to find a 4 speed ratchet case and single-handedly stopped some 8 year old girl from beaning our van with a brick. I was lucky this time but I have the map and we shall return!  ~ Enjoy!

*oh yeah – Hot Donna was there too.

Gotta love eBay

Gotta love that eBay. Picked up this Wagner style brake setup complete with a ratchet top mounting bracket. It’s even got the switch and line still attached. All in perfect working order for $15 bucks. Sure beats $65+ for something new. It’s gonna be a busy winter in the Speed Club garage. 3 cycle builds lined up and even including a little propane heat action!

Winter Projects – Shovelhead Transmission

Well… I’m all set with my winter projects. I just got a 4 speed ratchet top transmission for my shovelhead project. I picked it up as a cheapo rebuild. Original owner tore it down and couldnt put it back together (DUH). It got passed on to NE Rick on a trade and it sat at Ricks until I reminded him that he had it. Sweet deal. Ricks a cool fella. Lots of knowledge and Mountain Dew. Trans looks complete aside from a single missing o-ring. A few cents and a few hours to set it all back up and she’ll be ready to run.

Contact me if you have any of the following for sale. I’m interested in almost anything and we’re still a ways out from any Gringo and Mickeys action.

– Complete 3 finger clutch basket
– Any frames (regardless of condition)
– Cheap Velocity Stack style air cleaner
– Alternator
– Point or Electric Ignition

Shovelhead Motor – Sold

///Shovelhead Motor – Sold///

The motor has headed down the road to another for a well needed/deserved rebuild. I’m sure I’ll see that motor again some day (being put to goo use I’m sure). We’re still on the lookout for a 4sp Ratchet top and/or shovelhead hardtail frame. If you or anyone you know has something to get rid of, please contact info@speedclubinc.com. Much love to the chopper gods. More chopper blog to come.
