Another Killer Swap

You know you’re in for a treat when you pull into the swap parking lot and two dudes are carrying out 6ft of vintage springer together. Invader wheels, trike frames, old school king/queen seats with good leather, hardtails, and even a pretty good triumph presence to boot. Looks like all the good little boys and girls on the other side of the mountain will have lots of wonderful things to play with. Hooray! Thanks as always to Gringo and Mickey for putting it all together. Dig it.

the Hard Ride – 1971

I was flipping through the channels last night and ran across “The Hard Ride” circa 1971. I remember the last time I saw this movie must have been like 10 years ago. There’s a really funny scene where the dude ties a dirt bike to his sissy bar and straight tows the thing off. It’s your typical strange and almost plot-less biker flick. Feel free to right click the image for the big version. That way you can save it to your computer for a desktop background or something.

xs650 Motor Rebuild – DONE

Another small win on the workbench. Just finished the xs650 motor rebuild. New cam chain on Sunday and I finished rebuilding and torquing down the head last night. Slapping it back into the frame later today and trying to move on to the next project as quick as I can. Gotta get the next one on the lift. Dreaming of warmer days. Tune in again. Garage features coming up soon on the chopper bog.

Labor Day Celebration from the Chopper Blog

I’ve had a great weekend. KISS played last night in St Paul. I live about a half mile from the fair grounds so I could hear the whole thing. Sure, it was a one man party but all my friends were there (Pabst and Jerky). Happy Labor Day. Here’s a little celebratory dance with Candy Barr – Partying with the Devil. I think this young lady is going places.
