Peoples Champ – Introduction

So I guess a blog isn’t totally dead cause here I am!

Charlie and I are taking part in the Peoples Champ competition this year and we’re really stepping up a lot of what we’ve done in the past. We’re both pushing our skill levels cause lets face it, we’re fucking amateurs! We’re dividing the project between motor and frame and then collaborating on everything else. Dorius is creating a Bullneck, wishbone narrow swingarm frame. And I’m building a gen/alt pan shovel with dual carbs and a generator mounted magneto. Here’s a pic of the first mock up after a round of dress up last night. I’m going to post more pics on how I’m making my own generator mounted magneto and Dorius will be slowly unveiling more of the frame details, tins, stance, etc. Give myself (@speed_club) and Dorius (@charliedorius) a follow. Thanks!

Speed Class?

Can you dig it!? HEAVY himself gettin some pics of my bike for the upcoming issue of Show Class magazine! Rolled the bike out over the highway along an old caged foot bridge. Zac’s got an eye for finding places like this. Z snapped some crazy riding shots too. Nothing says gangster like a long bike in motion. By a Speed Club Tshirt. Help me get to Born Free.

New Speed Club Tee’s

Just finished printing these this morning. Black on Gray – The only way. 100% Made by ME in the USA. Printed on some sweet ass soft cotton that my buddy found for me. In case you dont know… I produce nothing. All shirt proceeds go to me, my bikes, travels, beer, gas, and drugs. So buy a shirt and help me get to Born Free this year. Thanks a pant load!

Born Free – take 4

Born Free is a rad show put on by rad people with nothing but good intentions. Its an inevitable who’s-who of chopper aficionados wandering through a sea of lovers, haters and appreciators. Let’s not forget, there’s a bike given away too. How cool is that? As the show approaches, Im thinking more and more about the trip, making new friends and everything else that falls into the spirit of the whole thing. Don’t get me wrong… it would be wild to win a bike but it’s really such tiny part of a much larger plan. The longer Ive known folks like Harpoon, Grant and (locally) my HEAVY neighbors, the more I realize that we’re all one great big Speedmaster spinnin’ down the same highway. Hopefully, I’ll see you all in California.

A German Triumph

Reinhart is a good friend of mine out here in MN. Originally from Germany, dude is obsessed with motorcycles in a very scary way. He put this triumph together last year with Born Free as his goal. He spent a lot of nights after work in the Speed Club garage finishing the work on his bike. I just stood around drinking Pabst and taking pics. Thanks to the Pabst, I completely forgot that I even took pics.
